Segway LLC hired EVI to design, develop and produce the Branding Display Systems for the SEGWAY Human Transporter (HT) Retail Environments.
Segway LLC—based in Bedford, New Hampshire—was founded by inventor and entrepreneur, Dean Kamen, to transform the way people work and live. The Segway® (HT) is the company's first and most well-known product. Segway is an innovative, first of its kind company revolutionizing the way people think about travel.
To support Segway’s retail branding expansion, EVI designed a retail display system to showcase the brand consistently from dealer to dealer and to ensure strategic retail space within each dealership. EVI’s design incorporated progressive styling and modern materials to compliment the Segway brand and its hi-tech products. The design included: curved aluminum frames, plexi graphic panels, brushed aluminum, custom metal shelving and brochure holders, and a uniquely designed pedestal to showcase the Segway (HT). This design provides many options for the dealer to display Segway branded goods and product information.
EVI designed three individual display systems to accommodate various sizes of showrooms. Two of the display units have A/V systems with built in DVD players to play the Segway DVD for additional marketing and promotion. The Segway™ Human Transporter (HT) is the first self-balancing, electric-powered transportation device. With dimensions no larger than the average adult body and the ability to emulate human balance, the Segway HT uses the same space as a pedestrian, and can go wherever a person can walk. The Segway HT allows people at home and at work to go farther, move more quickly, and increase the amount they can carry anywhere they currently walk.
