Eisenhower Health

Generations of Generosity

0

February 2023 found EVI in Palm Springs producing a custom Live Concert for Eisenhower Health Foundation at the sparkling new Acrisure Arena. The show featured David Foster and Lionel Richie…two iconic figures in the world of classic popular music. This is the second consecutive year that EVI and Foster have partnered with Eisenhower on its top annual fund raising event.

Eisenhower Health, the only not-for-profit hospital in the Coachella Valley, was founded over 50 years ago to serve as a top level medical center prioritizing patients over profit. The vision of its leaders and the remarkable philanthropy of its supporters have created facilities that are world-class in every way.

Supporting Expansion that Saves Lives

The extraordinary Eisenhower Health team, led by President Michael Landes, hosted 1,500 of the Foundation’s primary financial donors, who’s generosity is directly responsible for the hospital’s continued development. Current expansion includes the brand new Eisenhower Cardiovascular Institute, which includes the construction of a four-story outpatient cardiology ambulatory center, expansion of a cardiovascular pavilion and the new Renker Wellness Center.

Landes and his executive team delivered a moving state of the foundation message, demonstrating progress on the amazing facilities, highlighting the need for continued support, and displaying the heartfelt gratitude for the partnership of all involved. The presentation served as the perfect set-up for the program’s next segment…a celebration of success with music entertainment at the highest level.

Inspired by the Music of Our Lifetimes

Foster, the 16-time Grammy Winning Producer, inspired the audience with a collection of his chart-topping music, with Katharine McPhee, Pia Toscano, Daniel Emmet and Fernando Varela providing the stunning vocal performances.

A surprise addition to the show was the Man in Motion himself...Rick Hansen. Inspired by the dream of creating an accessible and inclusive world and finding a cure for spinal cord injury, Rick Hansen set out on a journey that would make history – the Man In Motion World Tour. From March 1985 to May 1987, Rick wheeled over 40,000 km through 34 countries to raise awareness. His journey inspired David Foster to write "Man in Motion", the hit song from the classic movie "St. Elmo's Fire". After Foster performed the song, Rick joined him onstage to deliver an inspiring keynote message.

Following the Foster and Friends performance, Lionel Richie set the night ablaze with a magical 70-minute set, performing many of his megahits that we know by heart, including "Dancing on the Ceiling", "Hello", “Sail On", and "Brick House".

As a fitting grand finale, the entire cast of performers came together for a stirring rendition of “All Night Long”.

EVI is honored to have partnered with the Eisenhower team to serve as the event producer, including entertainment booking and management, music program development, staging and technical, and onsite production.

Much appreciation to EVI’s extensive team of professionals who lead the live events producing industry in every category.
