EVI continues to set new standards of success in Producing, corporate entertainment booking, and event production with the Grand Opening of Hard Rock Hotel Chicago.
The brand launch for the first corporate owned Hard Rock Hotel was produced in Chicago’s own historic Carbon and Carbide building. EVI was hired to create, design and produce the event including the staging, technical and celebrity entertainment elements of the grand opening. The theme was "Invasion of Rock and Roll into the Club Scene".
Attendees included the who’s who of Chicago, local and national press and record executives from major record labels. Among the A-listers of celebrity appearances were Carmen Electra, Dave Navarro, reality show stars Jaime from the bachelorette and Kelly Jo from the Bachelor, Richard Hatch from Survivor and many of Chicago’s own professional athletes.
EVI provided celebrity DJs: The Crystal Method headlined the evening and was followed by Twilight Mystery. Aerialists formerly of Cirque de Soleil soared from the ceiling performing with leather straps, chains, ropes and triangles. EVI also served as booking agency for world-renowned contortionist Olga Pikhienko performed on her own custom built stage elevated 20 feet and lit by lasers and intelligent lighting enhancing her performance from both inside and outside of the historical venue.
The event was a successful brand launch for the first ever corporate owned Hard Rock Hotel and is another one of EVI’s custom events with artist performances and collaborations unavailable anywhere else in the world.
The Hard Rock Hotel Chicago, located in the fully restored 1929-historic Carbide and Carbon building, is centrally positioned in the heart of the Windy City at 230 North Michigan Avenue.
