Saddlespan Tent Sales, Event Flooring, Lighting and Event Production

CEMEX a global building-solutions company and one of the world’s largest producers of cement hired Executive Visions Inc. (EVI) as strategic partner and a Producer in the production of its 100th anniversary celebration gala event.  Respected Treceavo architects in Mexico recommended EVI be brought on board with a team of experienced producers, designers and technicians for this landmark event.

EVI responsibilities as general contractor included budgeting, design execution, manufacturing and installation to deliver the production of a spectacular 30,000 square foot custom arabesque tent and venue for this special corporate event on the grounds of the company headquarters in Monterrey, Mexico.  Heavy duty portable flooring was also provided and installed by EVI to support heavy loads inside the tent.  EVI's responsibilities also included customs, trucking and complex installation management.

The enormous 350’ x 60’ x 28’ tent, purposely custom-built for the occasion with a 360' truss span, was illuminated by EVI in special photographic designs projected from 65 MAC 2000 robotic lighting and 100 conventional lights.  Each image was illuminated with 19,000 lumen of light to achieve the desired surreal look and feel. The projected images were created with 150 high-resolution (20,000 DPI) glass patterns which included several images each of clouds, trees, and leaves to provide an organic atmosphere during the event.  EVI's Producer, Lighting Designer and Programmer were proud to deliver this exciting lighting design & solution in keeping with the success of CEMEX and grand nature of this event.

The main event at the venue was a black tie affair with an elegant dinner, executive remarks and the world-class entertainment of superstar Alejandro Fernandez. Fernandez was accompanied by a 70-piece orchestra and 18 Mariachis.  Alejandro Fernandez is the biggest musical act in Mexico and is the son of legendary ranchera singer Vincente Fernandez.
